A Thessaloniki Trapezi — Meze Supper Club by Ataraxia

Thessaloniki sits in the north of Greece and is often called the food capital of the country. A city shaped by migration, trade, and many layers of history. Its food carries traces of Greek, Ottoman, and Jewish influences, where spices, herbs, and recipes have travelled across borders and generations. Even the simplest dishes are made meraklidika: with care, passion, and soul.

After ten years of living there, the city’s rhythm and food culture stayed with me .The street food, the long meals, the full tables, the late-night eats.

Thessaloniki Trapezi is part of a series I host in my private workspace at Teurastamo , an almost hidden space that feels like being invited to a friend’s home. Through this series, I aim to highlight the intricacies of Greek regional cuisine and the many layers it holds.
